JOB DESCRIPTION

Chess.com is looking for someone who is passionate in building & managing cloud infrastructure. We’re blending our datacenter hosting with AWS for microservices and scaling, and need your help to make sure that we’re always up, stable and performant. If you’re interested in pushing system performance and reliability to the new heights, then we look forward to meeting you! 

QUALIFICATIONS 

– Mastery of AWS setup and control over console, CLI, and API; Google cloud a plus 
– Particular experience with Cloud Formation or Terraform (Infrastructure as a Code) 
– You love to write your own software to automate API-driven tasks at scale (preferably in Python, but Go, Java or Ruby are welcome too) 

WHAT ELSE? 

– Experience with server application monitoring & visualization (Statsd, Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, etc) 
– Experience with SQL and NoSQL storages (e.g. Mysql, DynamoDB) 
– Experience with message logs (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis, Redis) 
– Detailed understanding of HTTP and related technologies
