Locus Health is bridging the gap between the home and hospital. Our platform enables clinicians to send pediatric and adult patients home from the hospital earlier by giving them a connection to their patient through our platform. We strive to innovate our platform and tools for clinicians, to best enable them to care for their patients at home.  
We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our collaborative development team and lead us to our next level of highly-available infrastructure. With an exciting and well-defined product direction, you’ll have the opportunity to make a large impact on our team. The Locus Health dev team is distributed, with some members working remotely full time and others co-located from our Charlottesville office with the flexibility to work remotely. 

As a DevOps Engineer at Locus Health, you will:

  • Collaborate with your fellow members of the software engineering team to deploy and operate our systems (development, testing, and production)
  • Plan and implement highly available infrastructure
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations

We are looking for someone with: 

  • A strong background in Linux/Unix administration 
  • Experience with automation and configuration management using tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services and MySQL
  • A working understanding of code, especially scripting (e.g. PHP, Python, Perl, and/or Ruby)
  • Knowledge of ops best practices, security principles, and high availability
