What we expect

We are looking for a remote contractor with a very solid Swift background and experience working with agile teams to augment our team. Expecting that this person would be strict when applying good OOP/TDD practices and value high-quality clean code.
The developer hired for this position will be able to:
  • Deliver high quality code while meeting and exceeding client expectations.

  • Maintain, refactor and add to an existing code base.

  • Lead a team to tackle new projects when needed.

  • Conduct code review and pairing.

  • Communicate clearly and often about the project to us.

  • Keep expectations clear with the client.

  • When working with more junior developers support them and help them grow with clear, candid and respectful feedback.

To be successful with your application you’ll need
Please send a link to GitHub or a similar page where we can see personal projects/ OSS contributions or code samples that can be evaluated. The code submitted must be written in Swift, apply good practices and have tests.
Be capable of a commitment to provide 40 hours a week (occasional vacations off with previous notice are fine) and generally working during NYC business hours (EST) from 9 to 6 (with at least 5 hours of overlap with your time zone to be able to do pairing sessions).
Speak English fluently, write and read without issues. This is not optional since we value strong communication skills and conduct all our work in English.
