This is a great role for someone who wants to grow and learn. We will train the right person for the job. Take advantage of working in a remote, results oriented environment and learn how to do PR, SEO and Communications from people who have been making it work for over a decade.

The Golden Rule

One of our main tenets is treating people the way we want to be treated. You are not a human resource, you are a person. If you’re on vacation, we don’t want to hear from you until you get back. Conversely, if you’re working, you need to put in the effort. This job is totally remote (otherwise we wouldn’t be putting it here ;-)). It’s also full time, so please don’t go through the application process and then tell us this is going to be your second job.

The TLDR;

You will be taught how to outreach and get content placed on websites and pitch journalists. For the right person this role offers a lot of opportunity to grow and develop.
You will eventually assume total responsibility for:
1. Getting in touch with owners of websites to get content placed.
2. Getting in touch with journalists to promote studies and other research.
3. Maintaining contact with them.

Experience doing internet research, writing emails, etc.
Tenacity – if you fear rejection this job is NOT for you. It’s not sales but very often 50 journalists will say no and the 51st will be the one who says yes.

Other Requirements 

— Fluent, mother-tongue in English
— Friendly, with good customer service and people skills
— Competent with administrative tasks
— Attention to detail
— Ability to use tools/software like Asana and ticketing systems like Help Scout
— Shows initiative
