Close is a 100% globally-distributed, ~32 person team that is building a sales-focused communication platform. Our SaaS CRM eliminates manual data entry and helps sales teams close more deals.
Our organization is growing and with each new team member comes additional logistics and responsibilities. Our current Operations Team (of 1) is looking for someone to help with people operations and human resources.

About You

You have five years experience with SMB administration, human resources, executive or personal assistance. You are a Mac user who is comfortable working remotely as part of a small team with a high level of autonomy and exceptional communication skills for this environment.
Your friends and family rely on you as the planner and host of group activities. You’re the first person they call when they have life-admin related questions (looking for a new apartment, reviewing contracts, obtaining health insurance). You are reliable; people depend on you for stability.  
You love administrative work, reading the fine print and feel accomplished in a day-to-day task-mode. You have a natural balance of linear and creative mindset; someone that is highly organized and anticipatory yet resourceful and imaginative in solutions. You have integrity, are trustworthy and self-aware.  
You are based in the US or Canada.
Bonus points for working in a startup environment, employment law and/or people analytics. 
 

About The Job

You will be taking ownership over many existing people operational tasks and systems while suggesting new practices to improve as we grow. We currently use Slack, Gusto, PurelyHR, G Suite, Dropbox and Confluence to name a few. Most of the work required today involves administrative tasks and organization.
You will be working with Mary and occasionally Anthony, Steli and Christie.
These are some examples of your responsibilities:
  • Point of contact for all City, State, and Federal registration, licenses, taxes, surveys, etc.
  • Administer employee benefits such as 401k, HSA, medical and dental
  • Payroll, leave of absence, business insurance and workers compensation
  • Assist in the research, planning and hosting of team retreats
  • Asset management (laptops, monitors, etc)
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring and on-boarding
  • Help to establish and track OKRs

PowerPoint experience creating and cleaning up corporate presentations is a big plus. Experience in the life science / biotech / pharma industries is a bonus but not required.

Support Specialist (Americas)

We’re looking for an empathetic and experienced Support Specialist to join our growing Customer Experience team. You’ll be an important part of a cross-departmental team dedicated to all things revenue, with a focus on helping our customers with their billing and account-related needs. You’ll go beyond just answering support tickets – our projects related to revenue will be an important part of your daily work.
To excel in this role, you’ll be an enthusiastic problem solver with an analytical mindset and a keen eye for spotting problems. Your customer empathy will come through in your strong writing style, adapting to our user’s tone of voice. You’ll be comfortable adapting quickly and openly to changes, and keen to constantly learn and apply these learnings to your work – with failures an inevitable part of your experiments.
In this role you will:
  • Support our users and answer their questions related to revenue through our Zendesk ticket platform
  • Communicate crucial company updates through various channels (i.e., in-app messages, emails, blog posts, etc.)
  • Manage the knowledge base articles that cover pricing and billing. This includes writing and updating existing articles, as well as creating visual content (like videos!)
  • Help create internal processes that directly impact revenue (i.e., refunds, disputes, user permissions, etc.)
  • Create reports for the revenue team that highlight customer feedback / sentiment
  • Evaluate results from tests and gather data to decide on next steps within the wider revenue team
  • Collaborate with the cross-departmental revenue team to plan and execute projects
Compensation Range

The budgeted compensation range for this role is $45,000 to $73,000 annually (we do not have a commission or bonus scheme at Hotjar). Ranges are based on market research and are equitable to other roles within Hotjar. The actual compensation offered to a successful candidate will be based on relative experience and skills. At this time we are only able to provide official employment status to those located in Malta. All other candidates will join our team as full-time consultants and will be responsible for paying any taxes or applicable fees where they reside.

    Android Software Engineer

    Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack – LA or Remote

    AdQuick is like AirBnb for Outdoor Advertising. Our mission is to make outdoor ads like billboards, subway ads, and airport ads easy to both buy and measure. Our customers include data-driven companies such as Eaze, Squarespace, and Peloton.
    We are an early-stage startup: we’re 2.5 years old, we have 26 people total and an engineering team of 9. The founding team consists of startup veterans who were early employees at Instacart. We’ve raised $3M in funding from Garry Tan & Alexis Ohanian’s VC firm, Initialized Capital.
    We have all kinds of interesting problems to solve:
